Windows 10: No internal speakers Windows 10 HP laptop

Discus and support No internal speakers Windows 10 HP laptop in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; My speaker icon on my task bar has a red x and message that says no audio device installed.     No internal speakers Windows 10 HP laptop


    My speaker icon on my task bar has a red x and message that says no audio device installed. I have tried multiple solutions found on web. None work.

    HP Laptop internal speaker Not working after Windows 10 update

    I have a Hp Elite book 8570p and after Windows updated to version 10, my internal laptop speaker stop working.

    I have a hot key mute button on this laptop that controls the speaker mute on/off that stays in the off position.

    Everything worked fine in windows 8.1

    when trouble shooting the driver seem to point to a PC speakers and never to the internal laptop speaker.

    I have HP 15 touchscreen laptop. Is there a booster for the speakers... Also, is there such a thing as an internal bluetooth speaker?

    Laptop Internal Speakers Sound Tinny

    I have an HP Envy laptop. I had no issues with my internal speakers, until I upgraded to windows 10. They sound like a tin can now. I have tried a multitude of fixes and nothing has made a difference. The driver description is "High Def Audio Device".
    I believe these are a Microsoft internal bus speaker. Under Device Manager there are two High def audio devices listed and one of them has a yellow exclamation next to it, that will not go away.

    I have updated the driver

    Uninstalled & re-installed the driver

    Ran the microsoft "Mr. Fix It" - problem couldn't be fixed

    Ran the troubleshooter - said device driver is not working properly, so I re-installed driver again.

    Ran troubleshooter a second time - this time is says device is working properly. But it actually isn't.

    Under speaker properties - I disabled all enhancements

    Any other ideas I would greatly appreciate. Thank You!!

    PS - as KY replied below. My issue also started after the last MS update.
