Windows 10: No Internet after overnight

I have a Sony Vaio laptop, and the built in wifi is flakey to say the least.. I had a USB 2.4G wifi adapter I used for some time but it would always disconnect as well.. Therefore, I purchased a new dual band usb wifi adapter to help with this issue. It is a Cudy AC600 Usb adapter. When I got up this morning, my wifi said No Internet. I have 4 separate connections for my wifi.. 2 at 2.4G and 2 at 5G because I use an ISP provided wifi Extender. All of these connections said No internet when I connected. So, I rebooted the laptop, and voila, now I have internet. So it appears the problem is caused by Windows 10. I have the wifi adapter set to not go to sleep in it's hardware settings. I came to this Microsoft site to get support, and the only support is the virual agent, which asked if I was using the October 1809 version update. I checked and it showed 1803 version, so I did a Windows Update and it did do an update but it is still 1803 version. Why didn't it update to the 1809 version the VA asked about??? Regardless of all this, why is my internet connection failing when not used for a period of time? Is there a better driver I can use or is there anything else I can do to prevent this from happening?

Windows 10 lost access to the internet overnight

My Dell inspiron laptop with Windows 10 lost access to the internet overnight. The desktop has internet, as well as the 2 tablets and the Android phone. How can I get the internet back on the laptop. I have tried a multitude of fixes and I didn't keep
a list.
