Windows 10: No internet connection suddenly

I've been trying to fix this for around 3 hours now with no success. What I've found however is that 80% of services are stopped even though they are checked. I ran a full scan of malwarebytes to find 0 threats. When i am in msconfig all are checked and Load System Services and Startup Items are checked.

Wi-Fi is on // No connection (after Windows Update)

On Oct 13 windows updated.

The update must've invited malware into my computer. I tried to run my antivirus after the update but it said there's no connection. Google chrome lost connection as well and then I got a pop-up saying that Windows Defender found and blocked a "Severe Trojan
threat". So I deleted it and I still don't have connection... (weirdly) the only thing that works is the Explorer app. I have internet; the Wi-Fi works just fine but, everything else doesn't connect. It's something internal that must be causing
the problem and it all started after the update.

P.S.

It also changed my network from private to public so I had to fix that.

And YES, I did allow these programs through the Firewall so that's not the problem.

Other devices on the same LAN have connectivity?

Sorry yes. Forgot to add that my phone and laptop are able to connect while my desktop hooked up to ethernet cannot

 

I've fixed the problem. When you reminded me to check if it was only my desktop i figured i would go to the cmd and check ipconfig. There is saw under ethernet DHCP was disabled. Thanks for the help
