    No longer getting web browser notifications in action center


    Not sure what combination caused the issue, but I recently updated both my version of Windows 10 and Google Chrome. I used to get alerts in the action center from some websites that I allow notifications for (example: Messages for web to send/receive text mesages). Now I no longer get a sound effect for a new message, and I do not get any pop up messages on the side.

    Any tips for what I should look for? I saw someone suggest turning off and on Windows notification and reboot. I tried this and it did not work. I also went into the specific Chrome tabs and changed from Allow to Block to Allow notifications. I'm on v1903 build 18362.657.

    Stop action center notifications in Windows 10

    • Do you want to stop notifications only from Defender or stop all action center notifications?
    To stop action center notifications, I suggest you to follow the steps given below:


    • Type settings in search bar and hit
      enter.

    • Go to system.

    • Select notifications and actions.

    • Click on turn system icons on or off.

    • Turn off action center.

    Hello,

    There are several reasons why you’re not getting email notifications in the Action Center. To isolate the issue, we would like you to answer the following questions:

    • What device are you using?
    • Are you using Outlook or Live Mail?
    • Can you open the Actin Center?
    • If Live Mail, have you checked the Live Mail Notification settings to make sure it's on?
