Windows 10: No Microsoft Defender Antivirus provider after all other antivirus software is carefully...

I have removed all McAfee and MalwareBytes software using their software removal tools and was able to get the Microsoft Defender AntiVirus working on a single restart, but now it says there are no providers. Have can I activate Microsoft Defender Antivirus?


I have already followed all the steps on https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/protect_defender-protect_start/problems-starting-windows-defender-in-windows/808253bb-db89-4db9-a4e5-1c91a86489e9 several times.

Defender AntiVirus

There are 4 options under Defender. Two refer to AntiVirus; AntiVirus Network Inspection Service & AntiVirus Services. Under Startup Type these two are listed as manual and the Status column said Inspection Service is running. When I clicked on the Start
button in Properties, I got an immediate message: "Win.. Def.. Anti.. Serv.. on local comp.. started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."
