Windows 10: No option in Microsoft Store to upgrade from home to pro

I literally just got my dell inspiron today and I have spent the entire day trying to follow steps to upgrade the home OS to pro. There is no option to upgrade it. I have reinstalled the OS twice and I'm really getting tired of the tutorials and forums online not helping. I feel like I'm a pretty tech savvy person, but this has just been ridiculous.

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

Download Windows 10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.

Win 10 upgrade from Home to Pro Try Again Later

We need more information to help you better.

• • Are you able to open and access Windows store normally?
  • As you said that you tried to use different work account, is the work account connected to domain network?
    
  • Are you working on any .NET applications?

As you are get the error while you try to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro through Windows store, follow the below steps and check if it helps.



Step 1:


Try to reset the Windows store cache and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + R keys from the keyboard to open run command prompt.
  
• Enter the wsreset.exe in the run text box and hit Enter key on the keyboard.
  

If the issue still persist, follow the below step.



Step 2:


I suggest you to re-register Windows store and check if it helps. Follow the suggestions in
Method 3 provided by Giridhar J on August 25, 2015 in the below thread to re-register Windows store.
