No option to create videos in the Photos app November 2019

I just got a shiny new laptop, but my beloved app "Movie creator" was of course discontinued. Looking around I was reassured that the Photos app will serve the purpose just as well. Only... when I start the Photos app, there is no button or icon that will let me record or edit a video. I have clicked on everything in the app, but there is nothing. I want to use my webcam to film myself and post it on Youtube. How the fudge am I supposed to do that now? Sorry for being a stupid old bat.

Yes, I have the latest version of Windows 10: 1909 (November 2019).

    :)

    Spoiler Office 2019
Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

    • Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
    • Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
      • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
      • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
      • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
    • The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

  3. save/create a video to dvd from windows photo app

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Appreciate your efforts to work on this issue.

Here is what you can do on the Photo app:

    1. Once you create a video file using Photos App, you can use the Export or share option on top.
    2. For better picture clarity, you can select "Longest upload, best for big screens".
    3. Once saved, you can click on "View in File Explorer". The file will be saved in .MP4 format.
You can then use a DVD burning software to burn the video to DVD.

However, you feedback would be very valuable to us to improve our products and services. Hence, I would suggest you to share your feedback and ideas on the

    Feedback hub
. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run in to while using Windows 10 and send suggestions to help us improve your Windows experience.

    Hope this helps.

Windows Photos Export Video Project Problem

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand the difficulties you are facing with the Photos App, while exporting video project. We were able to create and export the video project. So the issue could be with photos app installed in the PC. I would suggest you
to follow the steps mentioned in these methods.

Method 1: Please refer the steps as mentioned in

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
    article.

Method 2: You can also try to re-install the app using PowerShell. Here are steps to re-install photos app:

    1. Open PowerShell (Admin). Right click on the start button and then on PowerShell (Admin).
    2. Then type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
    3. Once the above command is successful. You can install the Photo app from Microsoft Store.

    We await your response.
