Windows 10: No option to turn on Windows Defender because of Acronis True Image?

I have Acronis True Image 2021 installed for use as my backup program. It comes with its own security called "Active Protection." Even when I turn off ATI Active Protection, I have no option to turn ON Windows Defender in the Windows Security Setting. Meanwhile Windows keeps telling me that ATI needs updating, although ATI says it's up to date. It's unnerving not to be certain I am actually running current security. How can I just turn on Windows Defender??? My only option is either to keep using my "current provider" and have Defender "periodically check for threats", or... not.Window

Acronis True Image

I built a server im putting on a network. there are going to be up to 5 workstations connected to this server. the server only serves a purpose of keeping the workstations backed-up so i purchased Acronis. i know the basics as to how the software works but im not quite sure what to install on the server.

alright so i have Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server and im ready to install it on to a server. ive used this software a few times before on a regular PC, but im not quite sure what to install onto a server. when i put in the disc there are a few options.

1. Install Acronis True Image Management Console
2. Install Acronis True Image Agent for Windows
3. Install Acronis Backup Server
4. Install Acronis Group Server
5. Install Acronis True Image Agent for Linux
6. Install Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server

now i know that numbers 2 and 5 would go on the workstation side of the network.

but i dont know which item or items i should install on the server.

help anyone?

 

Acronis True Image 2016 can not access network

I suggest you to install all updates related to Acronis True Image 2016
and check if that helps. As Acronis True Image 2016 is not a product of Microsoft hence I suggest you to contact

Acronis true image cloning problem

just discovered that i actually has Acronis true image 8 OEM version that came along with an external hard disk i bought 2 years ago.

i install the software, make a boot disk , connect SATA disk to my PC and attempt to clone my current IDE to SATA as it claims to be able to do so.

Problem is that when i boot from the Acronis boot CD, and the software wizzard starts, it says " Acronis true image can not find any Disks" . This is funny cos the software itself running when run in windows interface can recorgnise the 2 disks but when i boot outside windows it doesnt see anyting.

Now i have just ordered the full version of Acronis 11 for $34 and am downloading it now it better work or i will really be pissed.*Wtf :wtf:
