  1. No output on startup

Hi,I've noticed some strange behavior with my Windows 10 PC. On startup, the monitor will turn on and show a black screen. It doesn't say there is no input, in fact, the HDMI source connected to the PC is the only one labeled as active. I also have a startup sound that normally plays when you get to the login page, which doesn't play. If I turn off my PC by holding down the power button, then turn it back on, it starts up perfectly and everything works. Is this an issue with my PC and will forcing shutdown this way damage it over time?System specs:Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 System Type x64-

    :)

  3. Cannot launch Settings on startup menu

    Hi Luky,

Thank you for posting your reply.

I suggest you to perform a Startup Repair by following the steps below.

    • In the Lock screen, press/hold the shift key and click on power icon>restart.
    • Click on Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Repair and follow the prompts to start the Startup Repair.
After the Startup Repair is complete, check for the status.

  4. No output on startup

No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.
