Windows 10: No programs appearing in Startup setting page or in Task Manager

Not a single program appears in the Startup setting page or in Task Manager.


I can still edit the little sorting tool for programs name, status, startup impact


I've done a fresh reset of windows deleting all of my programs but keeping files.

I've updated all drivers and windows version.

Actually, I like your suggestion as a first step.

Unchecking the wrong thing in Autoruns can brick a system.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didnt think that there might be an option in the program itself to start with windows. So that worked!

I was also throw off by not seeing anything in the startup page for task manager since I had been used to there being programs there with my old PC.

Here are three methods to invoke a task:

1. By placing a program or a shortcut into this folder:
   
   c:\Users\Michael\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
2. By specifying it in this registry location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
3. By creating a scheduled task that gets triggered at startup or at logon time.
