    I recently packed up my computer and moved into a new location. Upon setting my computer back up, my monitor has refused to connect to my PC. I thought it might be the cable that was the issue but after buying a new cable the problem remained. Both the monitor and the computer itself are very old. I use a VIZIO D24-D1 for my monitor and my computer is a HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF. There is a possibility I may be missing a required cable? Or that I need a new component in general. All help would be appreciated.I have viewed other threads about this issue but the problem still remains. I have re

    These can be the causes of the problem:

    Loose or bad Video card - loose or bad cable (both ends) or bent pins on cable - more serious hardware issues with motherboard. Maybe try removing and re-seating the video card with all Power OFF.

    If a PC with On-Board Video you can disable the on-board video and use a video card and of course you can

    replace a video card as needed.

    Of course make sure the computer/video card supports the type of monitor being used.

    Check with System maker's Support and/or video card maker's support.

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.
