I have a PC with a new fresh Windows 10 after years of using it, 10 was acting wonky. Generally it was a good new clean Windows. It's got all the updates and maybe that's the issue.

Seems everywhere I check for solutions on Google and Forums many settings, suggestions for places to look have changed, or options have changed.

I've used Group Policy Editor, it's missing the last step for power management. I've used require password NEVER NEVER NEVER everywhere I can. I've went to Personalization, and Lock Screen and followed about every help I can read.

Still, nothing has stopped requiring my password on coming out of sleep or hibernation?

Any solutions? I live alone. Nobody but me can be available to use my pc, unless I haven't met them yet, but me. And me only. I do not need passwords!

Thanks so much if you may hold a solution. jack ":-\\

    hibernating/password

    Hello Rich,

One possible reason why your system keeps hibernating or goes to sleep is because of the power plan settings of your computer. To assist you with your concern regarding your PC hibernating, we recommend that you reconfigure the power plan settings by following
    the steps below:

    • Type Display on Cortana's search field and press
      Enter.
    • Select Power & sleep.
    • Under the Sleep option, click the drop down menu to set the number of minutes/hours you would like your PC to sleep/hibernate. We suggest that you select
Never if you do not want you system to hibernate.
    • Close all windows for the changes to take effect.

Let us know if you will need further assistance.

After the last update I am once again asked to enter a password when the computer comes out of hibernation or sleep. How do I stop it asking for a password?
