Windows 10: No simple photo viewer in windows 10?

There used to be a plain old photo viewer in Windows -- you could click on a photo in WindowsExplorer and it would display the photo, then you could skip through the entire folder displaying each photo, you could also change the orientation from portrait to landscape or vice versa. Now, when I click on a photo it displays, but then I have to close it and then select the next file, no re-orientation. What happened; did that go away? Now the only think I can find is Microsoft PHOTO which categorizes and organizes into libraries and other non-sense that I don't need, all while sending tons of

Suggest a simple photo viewer

Please suggest a simple photo viewer for the elderly.

Nothing complicated like XnView, just browsing photos, preferably by date.

The default Windows Photo viewer is great, but it circles for weeks and hardly loads anything new.

Just do not like this "new" photo viewer, it is just cumbersome to operate, lot of extra steps etc. I like the older Win photo viewer, however since JPG files are saved as "unhandled Extension handler finder", *Confused I need something else. Appreciate any suggestions that is not overly optioned, just a simple viewer. Tx

I just use the Photos app for a quick view, otherwise I use Adobe Lightroom to view and edit photos.
