Windows 10: No sound after installing Voicemeeter and Realtek drivers.

I recently got a new microphone so I decided to download Voicemeeter to customize it. After downloading, the sound completely disappeared. I removed it and the sound came back, but I decided to reinstall it. The sound was gone again so I thought I would re-download the realtek driver since Voicemeeter installs its own custom driver. It has worked until I changed the input/output on the sound tab. I decided to reinstall Realtek and it worked again temporarily however stopped completely after 5 minutes without changing the input/output. I then removed Voicemeeter and re-installed Realtek again and after many times it had no audio however when I look at the input/output tabs, they do emit audio.

p.s. When I start my computer after installing Realtek, the audio is available for about 2 minutes before disappearing.
I am using either the Razer Surround Pro or the ASUS Sonic Studio 3 for output.

(attachment shows the computer does have audio but is not actually going through to headphones.)

problem with sound. driver 6.0.1.7535 realtek.

in stereo its ok. when i configure in 5.1 there is no sound.

• i clean install many times nothing happend.
• tried older version .7525 same problem
• tried version 8.1 windows .7344 same problem again.
• tried troubleshooter, it says that everything is ok.

 

Why the Realtek audio driver suite is marked as an update, even if it is not currently installed?

Realtek audio driver comes under optional updates when you have the Realtek drivers installed on the computer. As you are saying that you have not installed these driver even though you got the update, I would like to ask few questions:

• What is the make & model of your computer?

I would suggest you to go to control panel and under Device Manager, please check whether there is any Realtek driver has been listed.

Please check this one also:

• Open the Run command, type in “msinfo32”.
• Click on Components
• Click on Sound and Network and check if Realtek drive is listed.

Also as mentioned in the above post how to hide the optional updates, you could try that one.
