Windows 10: No sound after Win10 1909 update

    No sound after Win10 1909 update


    I am using Gigabyte G1 Assassin 2 rev. 1.0 with onboard Creative SB 20K2 digital audio processor. It is working fine when using Win10 1809 but no sound after Win10 1909 update.


    Please check whether it is the issue of certification to Creative Labs' sound blaster card.

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue No sound after Win10 1909 update :p
