Windows 10: No sound after Windows 11 v 22h2 Update

    No sound after Windows 11 v 22h2 Update


    I updated my OS to Windows 11, version 22H2 and I no longer have sound. When I tried to see if it was a driver issue, there was no Audio/Input option in the device manager. Please help!

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    May I ask what brand of sound card your computer uses? After the 22H2 update, we received some information (about the 22H2 Intel sound card driver colliding), which you can see from here.

    We are investigating this issue, please understand the inconvenience caused to you.

    For now, we recommend going back to the previous version and waiting for the sound card manufacturer to push new updates before attempting to upgrade.

    Methods to unload updates:

    1. Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View your update history > Uninstall updates.
      View update history settings
    2. Right-click the update you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.
