I have been unable to fix the issue listed above. I have no sound at all, tried updating, uninstalling and deleting the sound device from the device manager and nothing seems to work.


On the bottom right hand side when you hover over the speaker symbol it says 'No speakers or headphones are plugged in'


I am out of work and do need this sound to work while interviewing.


Any help will be much appreciated.

As you are already running Build 19041.572, all you need to do is run the 19042 enablement package using the the standard installation tools - here
- to upgrade to Build 19042.572.

 

Where is Win 10 19042 version

Yes, that is correct. The version reported is 19041, even though 20H2 is 19042. That is because 2004 and 20H2 have the same system files and take the same updates.

If you had 2004, the update to 20H2 would be performed by installing a small enablement package. The ISO includes, in addition to the system files, this enablement package. It will be installed atr the same time, making the installed version 19042.

1909 was the first time this enablement package method was used. If you have an ISO for 1909, check its version, you'll see it says 18362, the build number for 1903.
