    No success installing a driver


    Third party security, screwed up profile. Rolling back an image may have kept whatever is the problem reloaded on the machine. You may have to do a Burn and wipe to install a fresh clean copy of Windows 10.

    Might not be related but did you unblock the file? did you disable Driver Signature Enforcement? also sometimes you need the Windows firewall to be running when installing stuff even if you're using a 3rd party firewall. Maybe you can install it on the other computer and copy the extracted content to the one that needs it connect the device and install the driver manually from within Device Manager where you choose the Browse My Computer then let me pick from a list then click on Have Disk and browse for the driver

    Thank you guys. I finally gave up and took it to a tech. After a fresh clean Windows 10 install the driver still wouldn't install! It was just too bizarre.
    The tech has finally installed the driver by creating a temp folder for the install files in an alternative location to the one the ssd was choosing. I'm going to take it back to him tomorrow so that he can do the same on the image I created a few days ago, my preference.
    Thanks for the help, no one was to know it was a problem seemingly specific to my particular setup.
