Windows 10: No thumbnails for pics/videos

Hello, I am having issues with my thumbnails on my pc(windows 10) not showing tumbnails. When i scroll down i can briefly see it but then it goes away. I have tried switching icons sizes, changing the open program to windows pics, and unchecking the always show icons button. Thanks a lot!

Video preview thumbnails

Hello,

System file corruption is one of the possible reasons why thumbnail preview has recently disappeared. To better assist you, please answer the following:

• For clarification, are referring to video preview thumbnails when using File Explorer?
  
• We would like to verify if you are referring to the Fall Creators Update. To see your
  Windows build and version, please follow the steps in this
  article.
  

In the meantime, we suggest creating a Test User Profile. This is to see if the same issue occurs on a different user profile.

To create a Test User Profile, follow these steps:

• On Search, type Settings then hit the
  Enter key.
• On Settings window, select Accounts.
• Select Family & other people.
  
• Select Add someone else to this PC.
• Name the User Profile as TEST.
• Assign a password for TEST user, then select Next.
• Sign in TEST user.

We'll be waiting on the results.

 

No thumbnail pics on folders.

Please help. I cant get my video folders to show thumbnal pics in windows 10 even after unticking the view thumbnail box in folders-view. Please help . Its driving me mad. They always showed in win 7. I hope its a quick fix as I'm useless with computers

 

Missing Video Thumbnails

I recently installed win 10 Home 64 bit. All was well and then I noticed videos stopped showing Thumbnails. Picture Thumbnails are OK. I checked all the usual settings in Folder options etc. Used Disk Clean to remove the Thumbnails and restarted. Still
missing for the Videos. I finally got frustrated and reinstalled Windows. My Thumbnails now displayed for Pics and Videos.

Then, I installed Windows Essentials 2012 ( Mail, and movie maker ) I then noticed I was right back with the same issue. No Thumbnails displaying for Videos. So, I figured it has something to do with Windows Essentials and uninstalled it. Although I have
4 other PCs and installing Windows Essentials never affected Thumbnails. Removing Essentials didn't help. I then used system restore, created right before Installing Win Essentials. That didn't fix it either. So, if anyone has a ffix for this I'd appreciate
it. just doesn't make sense....
