Windows 10: No Windows 10 Desktop icons or taskbar after logon. Right click not working.

Hello, Just a day ago my hip desktop computer was fine. Now every time I start or restart I only get my wallpaper. No icons, no taskbar, no mouse menus. Control/alt/delete only allows me to restart. Task manager does nothing. Restarted several times, with and without internet connection and there is no change. No restore point message prevents system restore. Start up repair cannot fix the issue. Scan now does nothing. Check disk does not work as volume cannot be unlocked; read only. Nothing seems to work. Please help! I’m trying everything to avoid system reset. Thanks for reading!

Windows 10 desktop icons not in order

In ccleaner, did you uncheck cleaning the icon cache... have not used in a while; however, I think that is what the option is called.

Now, if you are setting the icons and they move after you have set the settings and not changed them... you may have the "Random Windows 10 Icon movement problem".
Some people have this and some don't.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

Please try this:

• Right click an empty part of the Desktop and choose 'View' - Show Desktop Icons
• Right click the Taskbar, select 'Toolbars' and uncheck Desktop
