  1. No windows boot

    Hello all,

Im experiencing a problem with my PC. Ive had several problems that have ultimately led to this point:

1- My PC kept crashing when I opened any game to play and kept giving me stop codes. To solve the issue, i tried googling the stop codes and all the answers were that I needed to update my drivers. I did so and I didn’t help.

2- After a while of it crashing, it stopped booting. After my motherboard screen, id get a black screen with nothing. So id restart my pc and get recovery options. Sometimes restarting it again would work, but rarely.

3- So after it stopped booting completely, I tried different methods to fix it. I tried sfc /scannow. I tried to restore from a previous point. I tried resetting my pc. But it kept telling me that there was a problem resetting your pc, nothing was done. I tried running a chkdsk C:/f /r /x but nothing changed.

4- Now every time I try restarting my pc, it gives me the stop code Critical Process Died. I tried typing this into cmd: “cd %windir%\system32\config, ren system system.001, ren software software.001” but it would tell me that the process is already in use. And all the solutions for that require me to boot windows, but it wont boot. Now im running a chkdsk C:/f /r /x again to see if I can solve the problem.

I cant tell if this is a hardware or software issue anymore, because I haven’t changed anything in my hardware that would affect it. I built the pc about half a year ago and havent changed anything in it since. If there is anyway to fix this, even if it requires me to delete everything and start over, please let me know. Because I have been struggling with this for about 3 weeks now

    Thank you for your time

    :)
