    Nomadic desktop icons tamed at last.


    At least for the moment .....

    Subsequent to downloading version 1709 (OS Build 16299.19) the icons stay where I plant them. Whether or not this version is the Fall Creators one I don't know. Perhaps it is but they've dropped the fancy name.

    Whatever it is, it remains to be seen what other surprises, good and bad, reveal themselves.

    Justin, you don't' need to zoom any further once you get a display that fits the icons comfortably and holds them there after you right click Desktop to Refresh, which locks them in place. It may take adjusting Screen Resolution first. But the jumpy icon
    row (usually at left and along bottom) can be tamed as I have done it this way many times.

    I am having the same issue. Plugged in my Nomad and can't download today's files. Tried to repair windows mobile and received the massage that windows was not configured for the program. I have an SD card in the Nomad which I download my files to but it
    is a pain to have to keep taking the card out of the Nomad just to download one file.

    Nomadic desktop icons tamed at last.

    That is the Fall Creators Update. I still have an issue with one "desktop.ini" file which refuses to stay where I put it. That is the only icon I have a problem with and it occurs on each system.
