Windows 10: NordVPN connection problems

Hi. My VPN (NordVPN) has started giving me a lot of connection problems recently. For a long time, I had it set to NordLynx and had no issues. Now, when I wake the PC from sleep, it's a struggle to get connected. I read that all adapters should have TCP/ivp6 'unticked' so I did that and it worked the first time. Later on, though, I noticed that the NordLynx adapter had TCP/ivp6 turned on again and it wasn't me who did it.

So I changed my VPN connection method from NordLynx to UDP. I'm currently connected to the internet and, as an experiment, chose a German server. As you can see from the screenshot, the internet thinks I'm in Germany so that seems as if NordVPN is working. But I'm not convinced I'm trying to download a series of files from Filefox and have got the first one but despite constantly changing VPN servers, Filefox is telling me I have to wait before I can download again.

In the past, the system tray icon has been the 'PC screen' symbol (as opposed to the wi-fi symbol although I'm not using a cable) and both networks have had internet access.

From the screenshot, would you say my VPN is working? And why is the system tray saying it has no net access?

NordVPN in Windows 10 reduces FIOS sped from 900Mbps to 90Mbps

I am using NordVPN & as soon as I connect using VPN, the FIOS speed drops from 900Mbps to 90Mbps or less. The NordVPN tech support has tweaked several settings -- no IPv6, WINS settings, etc. (see below). Nothing helps. Any ideas that will solve this problem?

• Double click on "Limit reservable bandwidth" -> click on "Enabled" and set the value of "Bandwidth limit(%):" to 0%
• Navigate to the WINS tab and select to disable the NetBIOS over TCP/IP.
• Try setting up IKEv2 connection method using this guide, unlike OpenVPN used in NordVPN application, IKEv2 can run multi threaded often providing better speed

 

Windows 10 Creators Update and NORDVPN

The creator's update killed my ability to use NordVPN.

Running windows 10 home premium. I tried deselecting IPv6 as well as disabling smart multi-homed name resolution via "Policy Plus" software.

Still unable to connect to a server using NordVPN. Unable to contact NordVPN customer service as it is currently blocked at my location.

Help ASAP.
