Windows 10: Normal Folders can't change to Custom .ICO files

Hello,I have been researching about this for a whole day and I can't seem to find the answer. I'm using windows 10. My folders can easily be changed from the default and then to my custom .ico files before. But then I installed a Windows 11 skinpack, but then decided to uninstall it to revert my theme to windows 10. But when I try to change my folder icons to my custom .ico files, it just becomes the default blank folder icon. But when I change my computer, or recycle bin using the different way of changing it, it works fine with my .ico files. The normal folders are the problem. Can someone p

Setting custom icons for folders with a .ico file

so i am trying to customize a folder but when i go to set this .ico i have it seems it is looking for a file that has icons stored in it and i am unable
to customize it. Please help.

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the steps below on how to change a picture to.ico format and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Select the image\picture you want to convert into .ico.
• Now resize the image to 32x32 using Paint or Photo Gallery.
• Save the file and just rename it to with an .ico extension and also select 24bit bitmap.
