    If you want to change the ICON, click change icon and navigate to %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll. The RED icon is in there.

    Yep, just did it on my Windows 10 computer as well, works like a charm.

    GREAT!... that works just fine for a quick Shut Down. But, when I went to turn on the PC, it taken about 4 minutes to get on the internet. Tried that several time...Start Up), same lingering time to get on. Before, all this I could press start button on PC and the Windows 10 logo would pop up within three seconds, and I'm on the internet in about 5 seconds. So, I deleted the quick Shutdown on the desktop, and went back to the original way Windows 10 had it when I installed 10. Now, I'm back to normal "real fast stsrtup, and three clicks to shutdown. I'm staying the old way... Thanks to all for the info...help.

    Add /hybrid to the shortcut:

    %windir%\System32\shutdown.exe /s /hybrid /t 0

    That's likely because Windows Fast Startup in enabled. The menu shutdown puts it into a hybrid sleep mode for quick startup. The short cut does a full shutdown and a cold start, which takes longer. It shouldn't take 5 minutes to get internet though, its only seconds on my PC with Fast Startup disabled.

    The /hybrid option adds Fast Startup to the shutdown command line command.
