Windows 10: Not able to detect my wifi and I'm not using a ethernet cable either

    Wifi not connecting without Ethernet cable


    Had the same problem with Asus P5K3 deluxe wifi motherboard upgrading to Windows 10...
    Plugged in an Ethernet cable...ok...but no built in wifi
    Next time I "RESTARTED"....voila ....wifi app shows up...and I connected to my router and removed the Ethernet cable...*Cool

    Ethernet Cable not detected by both WiFi router and LAN Switch

    You gotta have both ends plugged into a device. If they dont communicate on any port the cable might be bad. I think they make cheap ethernet cable testers

    glad that help. but too sad. i could understand that wires must be buried or something. i suggest changing socket first. could be lan sockets.
