Windows 10: Not able to Login even though using the correct password to login in My Laptop

    Not able to Login even though using the correct password to login in My Laptop


    I am using my Microsoft account to login into my laptop and when i am trying to login using password , it prompts as incorrect password.Actually it is the correct password and i am using the same for my email account. Please let me know what is the issue.

    Not able to login to my laptop on Windows10 account even after resetting password.

    Hi,

    I am not able to login to my laptop (Windows10), when ever I input the password it gave me incorrect password error. I did following steps.

    1. Tried login but received error "That password is incorrect. Make sure you're using the password for your Microsoft account. You can always reset it at account.live.com/password/reset."

    2. Reseted my password on another device and restarted the troubled laptop. Tried login but received the same error.

    3. Used the virtual keyboard, but received the same error again.

    I am able to see my troubled device in the Windows profile (on another device) so I am sure that, I have changed the password on the correct profile.

    I want recover data from my hard disk. Please suggest how can I access my data back.

    To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

    • Are trying to login as Microsoft Account or Local Account?
    • Were you able to upgrade to Windows 10 successfully and not able to login to Windows 10?
    • Have you tried to check with different keyboard?

    I suggest you to try to enter the password using On-Screen Keyboard and check if it helps.

    1. When at login page, click on Ease of Access which is available at the bottom right corner of the screen.

    2. Then click on On-Screen Keyboard.

    3. Try to enter the correct password and check if you are able to login to the computer.
