  1. Not able to open or uninstall certain applications after Windows 10 May 2020 update

    Hey,

I just updated my Dell G3 to the latest Windows 10 2004 build. However, after the installation, when I tried to run certain applications or even, as a last resort, tried to uninstall them, it didn't work.

The cursor showed the program was loading, however, the process wasn't executed. I tried checking the issues associated with the update over the internet, but I didn't find any. I was going to roll back to 1909 build, but after the update, I had deleted the prev. windows installations so as to clear some space. I also tried sfc/ scannow cmd command but it came out clean.

    Any solutions to my issue?

Certain apps include: Adobe Acrobat Dc pro, Iobit products, steam, etc.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. The updates have made it so that I can't open certain applications and can't drag and drop.

    Hi,

For us to properly sort out and address the issues you've encountered after the recent update, please help us verify the following information:

    • What Windows build and version is your computer on?
    • Did you get any error messages when trying to open certain applications?
    • Aside from the Windows Media Player and your email, what other applications are not working with drag and drop?
    • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling certain apps?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Regards.
