Windows 10: Not able to search in any search bar throughout Windows 10

I'm not able to type anything or search through any search bar present in any windows application. Be it Cortana, File Explorer, Search settings, or even in the Start menu. I've tried out many different ways for this problem. This has already happened to me and I had to reset my PC to fix this. I guess the issue is with SearchUI which is missing in my system. And I also cannot find this Microsoft.Windows.Cortana package in the AppData>Local>Packages folder.Running Indexing troubleshooter - DIDN'T HELPChecking for updates My PC is up-to-date with all the optional updates installed a

If you meant the Cortana search bar, review the suggested solutions on these threads:

• Can't type in Windows 10 search bar.
• Can't type anything in Win 10 Apps (Cortana, Search, Calculator, Feedback, etc.)

Now check if you are able to find search box.

Search Bar/Cortana

From the description, I understand that you are still receiving the pop up notifications, despite having disabled the search functionality in windows 10.

Steps to disable the Search Bar

• Right click on the task bar.
• Select the "Search" option.
• Select "Disable."

However, if the above steps don't work out, perform the below suggested steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Open a CMD window started as Administrator.

Repair corruption: Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.

Run this command next: Sfc /scannow

Now run these two commands:

PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
