Windows 10: Not able to Update Windows 10pro Version 1809 to Version 1909

Currently I am using Windows 10pro Version 1809 and need to update to 1909. While updating first of all it start with getting things ready then downloading. After successfully completion of both activity installation starts. But after aprox 25% of installation it again goes to getting thing ready and then downloading. I tried 3 times and 4th is in under progress.

Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 Will Not Update to 1909

Hello,

I have Windows 10 with 64 Bit Version 1809 and it won't update to 1909. I have 78.7 GB left of free space -- as noted when I press properties on Drive C icon. I've tried several times, and I've noticed that there are many comments on Google describing the
same difficulty.

Is it important to update to 1909? Is it more secure? I would do it but some of the online instructions to overcome the problem are so complicated -- at least for me -- and I'm hoping Microsoft addresses the situation so that I can fluidly update without
have to go through all these steps, which, again, for me, are hard to follow.

If it's not necessary to update to 1909 and remain secure, is there any reason why I should bother? My computer appears to be working fine.

Wrong Version Update Attempt

I have Version 1809 of Windows Home 10, Yet in my history and sometimes pending list.....updates for versions 1909 and 1903 are listed. Why does it continue to download the wrong updates? thanks

 

Version 1909

You may need to update to an earlier version first before trying 1909.

You can use the TechNet link to download ISO image files form Microsoft servers

TechBench by WZT (v4.1.1) try version 1809 and select the latest build, download and save then open File Explorer and double click the ISO. This will open a new
drive letter in File Explorer so select the new drive letter and run setup.

Make sure you have the option to save all your files, apps and programs and continue to update. After this you should have version 1809.

Once you have version 1809 then go to Windows update and Check for updates to see if 1909 is offered.
