Windows 10: not even enough room to burn a iso image to clean install

Hello I have a very low cost HP laptop that has nothing left to delete (that i'm aware of). i am on Windows 10 (the version before 1803!!!) Thats how long I've been trying to update without enough room..so I've cleared out all I knew about, windows backups and all apps so i just decided to do a clean install of Windows 10...But when I try to burn the Media Creation Tool to a DVD it says i need more space (on my laptop) to do it! Which is confusing! Am I trying to copy the iso image the wrong way and that's why it says i need more memory? I "download the tool from the Windows website and run it...Then go to the icon and run it..it runs for about a min saying "its getting things together" then comes back and says i need more space. Its like I can't win..ugh! Is there a more drastic way to copy the iso image then wipe out Windows to do a clean install? I may not be able to respond to answers or questions in a timely manor because i'm paralyzed and not fast at getting around. Sorry in advance.

I tried imgburn followed step by step and it sucks ...burned an image supposed to be ISO endend up in UDF ..not auto executable and scraped a dvd for it. Gonna try alcohol thx

Um, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't UDF the DVD format?

Windows 10 ISO image burning

You can directly mount the ISO file then start the installation. Right click the ISO file, click Open with then choose File Explorer. Then start setup.
