Windows 10: Not getting notifications for some me mail in the mail app

sorry if this get confusing but my problem is that for some reason if i send mail to myself with another acc the mail app will show it and put that number on the mail app pinned to the taskbar and start. but if its not from me i will still get the notification for it in the action center but no number for it on the pinned app on taskbar or start menu .is this more then likely a bug with the app or did i do something wrong?the attached image is what im talking about.it will only show that if the mail is from me .ive tried resetting the app and uninstalling it and no luck

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Mail not showing notifications


I am not getting toast or action center notifications for Mail app, although in the Mail app settings, I have notifications enabled.
In Windows settings, "notifications & actions", both the mail app and the calendar app are missing from the list.
I have not set up the calendar app, but I did set up the mail app with my gmail account, and aside from notifications, it seems to be working properly.

It's still pretty spotty for me as well. Sometimes you'll get the notifications and sounds for the Mail app, and sometimes you don't. *Sad

Be sure that you also turned on show notifications from the Mail app in Settings in step 5E.
