Windows 10: Not getting web results in Search or Start Menu search after login with microsoft account

Hi, on windows 10 even on windows 11 I'm not getting the web results in the windows search bar.I get them only in a gusted user, I haven't logged in with Microsoft account in thereI also got the same problem with windows 11 on my laptop after logging into my account.As far as I can tell, I have not disabled web results. Not getting web results in Search or Start Menu search

Hi; on some Windows 10 installations (and indeed, even on my other user account), I get web search results when I press the Start key on my keyboard and then type into the search box. For example, "32 F in C" will yield 0° C.

This isn't happening on one of my accounts. As far as I can tell, I have not disabled web results. Cortana is on. What setting controls this? I can't get that sample temperature conversion to work in either search (the magnifying glass on the desktop) or
the Start Menu.

 

Disable Web Search Results in Windows 10 Start Menu

Disabling web results in the search box depends on the version and build of your Windows 10. We suggest checking the Windows 10 version and build installed on your computer. To check the version and build, follow the steps below:

• On Cortana search, type winver and press
  Enter.
• A pop-up box will appear containing the version and build of your operating system.

Meanwhile, you can try these steps on how to disable web results in the search box:

• Click the search box in the taskbar.
• Select the Notebook icon

• Click Settings from the list.
• In the Settings page, turn off the Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts and more option.
• Also, turn off the Search online and include web results option.

Method 2

Lets try to narrow down the issue, if the issue is at a specific user level.
I suggest you to check if the same issue occur when logged in through a different Local Administrator user account.



Follow the steps mentioned below:

• Assuming that you are already logged on to your user account in Windows 10, click the Start button.
• From the Start menu, click your name from the top of the left pane.
• From the displayed options click Sign out.
• From the login screen, click to the different user account you want to switch to.
