Windows 10: Not going into os

My grandparent deleted a file they didn't mean to, their pc was working though. In order to recover the document i pulled their hard drive out and used a program to restore the document, however after plugging their hard drive back in and started nothing came up, after reseting the CMOS by taking the battery out and drainging the capacitors the pc will once more boot, but go into recovery instead of the OS, why would this happen and how can we resolve this?

Load this checklist video in Edge: (I'm assuming you did at least a few of these steps, since you stated you tried other suggestions earlier) Go through the list of suggestions here to try to repair YouTube for Chrome...

If want to disable IE, still can. However, can't uninstall it like were able to in XP/98/whatever.
Here's how, although I find it useful in case Chrome or Firefox stops working and have to re-download it. *Wink
1. Search for turn windows features on or off and click it in the search results.

2. When the app opens, uncheck Internet Explorer 11.

3. Click Yes on the warning dialog.

4. Click OK.

5. Restart for the changes to finish.
