Windows 10: Not notified about having to redeem Minecraft Windows 10 edition again

Ok so like 2 years ago or so i redeemed the Minecraft Windows 10 edition since i purchased minecraft around 2014, the thing is that now i logged into my microsoft account to test the Minecraft cross play thing and i realize that Minecraft is no longer in my account, i search about what happened and i see that they removed everyones Minecraft Windows 10 edition from their accounts and made them redeem it again. Since i wasn't notified about this i can't redeem the game because the deadline was April 20, i find this unfair because as i said i wasn't notified, no email or anything, and im not constantly reading the minecraft news so this was a little bit dissapointing.

Redeeming windows 10 edition of minecraft

Hello, I redeemed a code for the Windows 10 edition of minecraft in 2017, which I was able to get from having the java edition. I have the default game downloaded on my PC, but the code did not seem to work.

Edit: The link to redeem the code from mojang's sight brought me to the microsoft "redeem" page, but the code is listed as "already redeemed," even though this does not show up in my account page.
