Windows 10: not responding error when in chrome

Could somebody please walk me through how to eliminate the not responding error when using chrome? Seems like after 10 or 15 minutes in chrome it will freeze up with the not responding error. It does have a tendency to eat at your nerves/ Its frustrating as … mind you I am no computer tech wizard just someone who uses a computer for means of communications and knowledge. so, if you have a solution walk me through it in a way that someone who isn't tech saavy would understand. Do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Have you have tried to installed the flash player as suggested in the previous reply?
• Does the same issue persists on Microsoft Edge as well?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?

Step 1: As you are facing issues with Internet Explorer, I suggest you to Reset Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

Change or reset Internet Explorer settings

Step 2: For issues with Google Chrome, I suggest you to uninstall the browser from Programs and features and reinstall it from the website. Check if it helps.

  Press Windows + x key to open a task list from the bottom left corner of the screen.
  
• 
  Select Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Right click on Google Chrome
  and select uninstall and follow the onscreen instructions.
  

Try to download Google Chrome from the below link using Internet Explorer/ Microsoft Edge:

Chrome not responding

Hi Pete,

For us to provide the best resolution possible, we'll be needing additional information:

• Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome?
• It is best if you can send us a screenshot when you get the error message: "chrome not responding" as well as the links you mentioned.

We'll keep an eye out to your response.

 

Chrome not responding

Same problem except my Win 10 install is 3 days old.

Chrome works fine, except when clicking on a link somewhere other then chrome, (say a link in an email). Then I get the "chrome not responding" despite the fact chrome is working as expected.

Something is causing the hand off between other apps and chrome to be blocked.

Win 10 64 pro V 1607 (osb 14393.1198)

Chrome V 58.0.3029.110 (64)

Let me know if you need more info

(I'd include a list of system specs, but it shouldn't be relvent to this issue)
