  1. Not responding to clicking

Hi, I use an HP Pavilion running Windows 10 (OS build: 18363.1316). Today, after restarting it I noticed that clicking on certain thing in the taskbar wouldn't bring a response or open anything. For example, I cannot type anything into the search bar or press on the windows logo on the bottom-left corner - I must use the windows key on my keyboard to search. However, if I search for something I still cannot open it because it is not responding to my clicking. This is also the same for all the other button in the task bar, e.g. the wifi and notifications.

I am not sure if this is a virus or a problem with my software. On a completely different note, after restarting my Google Chrome's default search engine changed from Google to Yahoo automatically - very weird.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Not responding to clicking :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
