Windows 10: Not updating, and stopping mouse and pen working

I bought a new Surface Pro 6 and it will not update, it asks every 3 days to update and restart. I allow it to do this and then it restarts and says can't install reverting back to previous settings. Then once it restarts and I can access windows, my mouse, and pen are showing up as connected but do not work. It is EXTREMELY annoying, How can I get it to actually update and stay up to date and not lose connection to my peripherals so have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting every 3 days?

Arc Bluetooth mouse not working properly with Surface 3

Experienced same issue, disconnecting Arc Mouse then reconnect worked fine, but not mouse interaction.

Below steps worked for me:

• Remove all Bluetooth connected devices, including Surface Type Cover and Surface Pen.
• Disconnected the Surface Type Cover then reconnect. It will reinstall tand connect the device.
• Then Add Bluetooth devices including Surface Pen and last but not least Arc Bluetooth Mouse.

Everything works fine again.

 

Pen not working

I bought a new Surface Book three weeks ago. My pen was working correctly last night. But today the pen tip is not working however the 'eraser' part is registering and performing fine. I deleted and reinstalled the pen to no avail. Any suggestions ?

Update : the pen magically started working about 24 hours later. After working perfectly for over a week it has stopped working again. The 'eraser' workers fine but the tip does not register at all.
