Windows 10: Nothing shown on display after wakeup from sleep/restart

When ever the computer is kept in sleep mode, restarted or restarted after changing the BIOS setting. The display doesn't show anything. The fan's, the hard drives are powered up but nothing happens.

To get out of this the computer needs to be force shutdown by pressing and holding the power button, and then turning of the Power supply unit, then wait for few minutes and turn on the PSU and then power the computer on. I have also tried resetting the CMOS. Removing each component and try.

For now i'm not turning of my computer, just to be safe.

Is this the issue with PSU not able to supply enough power? I replaced my old PSU (300+ watt) with a 430 watt PSU. It was fine for month or so and the issue started happening again.

Please help in resolving the issue.

hp G60 Windows 10 display stays off on resume from sleep only when lid is closed and opened

I would like to share a workaround for laptop display failing to come after resuming from sleep. This problem occurred after Windows 10 upgrade. The problem was not present in Windows 7.

Computer: hp G60-550CA running Windows 10 [10.0.10240] No Display on Resume from Sleep.

Opening the lid, clicking touchpad button, pressing the spacebar, or tapping the power button would wake the computer from sleep - WiFi LED would turn orange, then blue on connection, hard drive light would flicker normally, but nothing on the display.
The only way to get the display back was to force power off and restart the system.

No driver updates were available for the Mobile Intel 4 Series Express chipset display adapter. All drivers were up to date. BIOS was updated from F53 to F64, but still no change. I then installed the Windows 10 major update [10.0.10586] which took over
an hour and several restarts. The display now works on wakeup from sleep due to timeout, tapping power button, or selecting sleep on shutdown menu - but
still fails to turn on after sleep initiated by closing the display lid.



After extensive testing and searching for possible solution, I reset the power options to default. I then changed the "Lid Close" action to "Do Nothing". The computer can still be put to sleep using the start menu, tapping the power button, or by inactivity
timer. The display still shuts off when you close the lid, but it does not put the computer to sleep.

Now when the lid is opened, the laptop wakes up normally and the display comes back on. Imagine that. The system owner wanted to revert to Windows 7, but this should make the computer usable until the lid close sleep issue is resolved.

 

Empty blue screen for a second before seeing the lockscreen.

no its not a restart when ever i wakeup my pc from sleep it shows a empty blue screen just only for a seconds an d after a second i can see my lock screen
