How would all the asshats who want to school us all on the inevitability of microsoft shoving whatever they want down our throats just keep this foolish opinion to themselves? Companies who sell products to the public respond to the public's requests or suffer the losses. 131K people have asked how to get rid of this new copilot invasion SO FAR, according to microsoft. Maybe they should just make it optional.

Quiet Hours are times of day when you don't want to be disturbed by notifications. How to set them up:

• 1. Click the Action Center icon on the taskbar.
• 2. Click Quiet hours.
  3. Set your Quiet Hours.

The last (3) seems to suggest there is a setting - but as you - and others- have observed it seems to be just an on/off button now.

I have tried to repro the Quiet hours and is working in the final Windows 10 on Computers.


You may follow the steps below and check if it works:

• 
  Take your mouse pointer to the Notification Area icon on the Taskbar near the corner in the right side and make a right click.
  
• 
  You can see two options on a menu – First Option isAction Center and the Second is Turn On quiet hours.
  
• 
  ClickTurn on quiet hours.
  
• 
  To Turn off Quiet hours make a right click on the Notification area icon once more.
  
• 
  Click Turn off Quiet hours this time.

About your concern, please follow the steps provided below for Quiet Hours:

1. Launch Cortana> Click on the Hamburger Menu> and then tap Cortana’s Notebook> Quiet hours.

2. Under Break-through rules, you will find Edit Break-through list, click on that if you want to add some exceptions like your family member. Adding your contacts
in the list is very simple.

3. Just click on Edit Break-through list> Tap on “+”> Select people you want to break-through. Now, these very people can call, or text you, even when Quiet hours in
On.

More Rules to Break Through Calls:

Calls:

• Tick the box which says , Anyone rings through if they call twice in 3 minutes. This will let anyone break-through if they call you twice in three minutes.
• Tick the box which says, People on the list ring through. This lets your contacts, which you added in your exceptions list, call you, but can’t text you.

Text:

You can send auto reply. You need to turn on the option “Texts from people on the list get through”. If they happen to send you a message, they get an automatic response saying, Hi, the person you’re trying to reach is busy and may not respond right
away.
