Windows 10: Notification and highliting

For the past month my new HP PC started blocking and flashing Notifications constantly stopping my typing. I turned off all notifications and it still flashes, also when I select it highlights everything doesn't matter if its email or internet page. Ran security and virus checks everything I could think of. Im a senior and afraid to down load. I use this PC only for google, facebook, email, bank The flashing drives me crazy, its like it has a tick, Never is there a notice, The highlighting of everything on a page, I get a notice do I want to open all? Check says no issues. Help

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Follow these steps to check if it works:

• Show notifications on the lock screen
• Show alarms, reminders, and incoming VoIP calls on the lock screen
• Hide notifications when duplicating my screen
• Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows

You may just turn them off the notification as you need.

  Click on systems
  
• 
  Select notifications and actions
  
• 
  Disable all the notifications on the screen
