    "Npcap Loopback Adapter" doesn't have a valid IP configuration


    Every time I boot up my PC I do not have any internet connection and when I run the network diagnostics I am always given this reason: "Npcap Loopback Adapter" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. I have tried some fixes to this including uninstalling nmap and making sure my drivers are updated, but none of them have been permanent. I'm just looking for a permanent fix to this problem. my network diagnostics stats, as well as ipconfig /all information, are below.

    I performed this process and found it only disabled Npcap Loopback Adapter.

    Hi Guys,

    I've discovered something called the Npcap Loopback Adapter in my available networks on my Windows 10 computer.


    "Npcap Loopback Adapter" doesn't have a valid IP configuration 017f4814-8018-458e-ad00-3c604da193d1.jpg


    Does anyone know

    1. what it is;

    2. where it came from (which software); and

    3. what is its function or what does it do.

    I am a little sceptical about this Npcap Loopback Adapter thing and it seems it only appeared after the latest Windows 10 upgrade. Am I correct?

    Yes, i think the Npcap Loopback Adapter appeared after the Creators Update if I’m not mistaken.

    Do you know what it is & what does it do?
