I understand that Windows Update driver updates fail with error 0x80070103;

What exactly is your PC model and manufacturer?

Before answering the question I suggest you try the following;

Uninstall antivirus;

If you have an antivirus installed or more than one, I suggest you to uninstall it through the Control Panel in the Programs and Features icon or temporarily disable it through the antivirus settings.

Note: Many antiviruses have their own removal tool. Visit the Installed Software website for more information. Your system will not be unprotected as Windows has its own security system that automatically enables as soon as you restart your computer;

run the Windows Update troubleshooter;

Press Windows key + i and go to System;

Click Troubleshooting and then Outros solucionadores de problemas;

Select Windows Update and click Run the troubleshooter;

Stop Windows Update services;

Run the system file checker;

Click on the Windows search bar and type: PowerShell

The result of the search for Windows PowerShell will be displayed, click Run as administrator;

Copy and paste the commands below by pressing Enter after typing each command line:

net stop bits

net stop wuauserv

net stop msiserver

net stop cryptsvc

Remove Windows Update files;

Press the shortcut keys "Windows + R" and in the run box: %windir%\softwaredistribution\ press Enter;

Delete all content inside the softwaredistribution folder;

Restart Windows Update Services;

Click on the Windows search bar and type: PowerShell

The result of the search for Windows PowerShell will be displayed, click Run as administrator;

Copy and paste the commands below by pressing Enter after typing each command line:

net start bits

net start wuauserv

net start msiserver

net start cryptsvc

Check if you can download updates now;
