ntoskrnl.exe runs for hours every day.

I have noticed that something has been running on my laptop for a while. It is always System, Windows process, ntoskrnl.exe. It runs for hours everyday.

It uses about 20 to 30% of cup but no memory. A few days ago I reinstalled Windows. After all updates were done ntoskrnl.exe came back and does the same thing. I have a monitor connected to my laptop and two Bluetooth deviceskeyboard and mouse. I run MS SQL SERVER, CHROME, Kindle on and off, and Spotify everyday. I have 140 GB of free space on C drive and 400 GM of free space on SD cardD drive. If I unplug USB-C, CPU usage drops to almost 0% but eventually goes back to normal 20-30%%. I can't stop the task from Task Manager. When I start my laptop, it seems like Window would not start when USB -C is connectedmonitor to my laptop. If I unplug USB-C before turning it on, it would start just fine. I don't think ntoskrnl.exe running for hours everyday is normal. But I am not the expert. If you can help me with this issue, I would appreciate it!

    Thanks,

    :)
