Windows 10: Num Lock tones

Discus and support Num Lock tones in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I reset Microsoft and now I have a few things wrong with my computer.     Num Lock tones


    I reset Microsoft and now I have a few things wrong with my computer. How do I shut off the tones when I touch the "num lock" button? I tried a few things in the settings, but it's still there. When I press it, it sounds like I'm playing Pong.

    Num lock tone wont turn off

    recently, i was messing around in setting in windows 10 and i found the toggle where i could make a tone when i pressed a button such as the num lock. So i turned it on and tried it out. The feature where it would make a tone with the caps lock turned
    off but the num lock remained to beep when pressed. It is very annoying, pls help

    NUM Lock issue

    Hi Karl,

    The status of the NUM LOCK key is specific for each user, and NUM LOCK is disabled by default. If you want the NUM LOCK key enabled for use before a user presses CTRL+ALT+DEL to log on, you must use Registry Editor to change the default behavior.

    To enable NUM LOCK before a user logs on, follow these steps:

    • Run Registry Editor.
    • Move to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard.
    • Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2.

    Num Lock tones

    Remove num lock icon windows 10 Lenovo B590.

    I tried going in through your keyboard suggestion. By adjusting some on/off options there, I made sounds for NUM lock and CAPS lock. No more icon for either onscreen. But, the two tones/beeps that sound when engaging or disengaging the two lock keys is
    good enough for me!! No more NUM lock icon frozen on my screen. Thank you.
