    nVidia HoloDeck, VR in manufacturing

While AMD only support VR in their powerpoints, nVidia went ahead and developed this. Talking about taking the VR to the bigger stage.

  3. Holodeck @ E3?

Somehow I don't think those dates are very accurate or realistic.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure we will achieve an Holodeck earlier than we get warp engines. Call me crazy if you want. *Roll Eyes NVIDIA Holodeck Gets New VR Tools

Otherwise I agree that's not nearly close to being an holodeck and IMHO wireless virtual glasses have a better chance of becoming a true step towards Holodeck than this is. Virtuality is still a far cry from real holodeck, but at least you'd be free to move as you please. IMO that's the key, you need to feel like you are inside the world and a 180º screen will just never do it if you can't move, not even a 360º screen will do it.

Besides 180º "screens" already exist i.e. Page redirection to camanio.se and the effect is not as ground breaking as one would think apparently, again because you can't move, you can't look around.

Maybe we are not that far anyway. I just realised the existence of Kinect. A much improved kinect 2.0 or 3.0 + virtual glasses that don't look like crap, may actually be a first step towards the holodeck. It would be funny as hell anyway. Being able to touch, feel and smell... now that's another thing. But being able to see and move would definately rock. Maybe they could use augmented reality so that you could play on abandoned buildings or something, wchich would eliminate the problem with world boundaries.

Hulu VR won't load on Microsoft MR helmet

    Hi Joanna,

Allow us to verify some details so we can properly isolate the issue.

    • Is this happening on a TV in the VR environment? Are there any other apps or features within the VR environment that are having issues as well?

For initial reference, kindly check out the common troubleshooting steps found on this
    link.

We will wait for your reply.

    Regards.
