NVIDIA Support Plan for 32-bit and 64-bit Operating Systems

I agree with the gaming updates being shuddered (most gamers have long since moved on) but security updates should continue as long as MS supports the OS. This is a dangerous precedent being made here of abandoning still supported operating systems. AMD did this a while ago already. They dropped all support for Windows 8.1 in their Radeon drivers. Many 8.1 users could never get a Windows 10 installation to even install. I get they don't owe you new features but they should make sure the ones you have are not a security issue for the life of the OS. Plus we frequently you cheap ad in cards in old machines still to add multiple monitor support or give better video playback. Without security updates that will not happen now in the corporate world.

  3. Upgrading from Windows 10 32 bit to Windows 10 64 bit

    Hi Venkataramani,

Unfortunately, you will not be able to upgrade from 32 bit operating system to 64 bit operating system. Upgrade from cross-architecture is not supported. An upgrade will happen from a Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 10 32 bit operating system and from
Windows 7 64 bit to Windows 10 64 bit operating system.

If you need any further information, please post your question and we’ll be happy to help.

I'll be curious to see if this provokes a hue and cry from x86 Win10 users, or no reaction at all. No idea what the intersection between those using 32-bit Win10 and those also running Nvidia graphics cards might be, but I suspect it's a small group or Nvidia probably wouldn't be doing this.

There will always be an outcry when it comes to end of services and products going EOL, but this one isn't that big of a deal, or at least shouldn't be in my humble opinion. Geforce Experience is made for gaming, and NVIDIAs GeForce drivers are titled "game ready", and seeing that almost all games today requires 64-bit OS to even run, you probably get the idea. *Smile Also haven't 64-bit been around for over a decade now? All PCs today should come with it pre-installed, and upgrading to one isn't difficult, as long as the central processor is x64 compliant.

My Acer laptop from 2007 (possibly 2006) has Nvidia graphics and only runs 32-bit Win10.
However Win10 version 1709 seems to have broken compatibility with it.
In some software (eg. iTunes) that part of the image goes monochrome and gets squashed horizontally.
It's been many years since they updated the driver though, so I'd already given up hope of any updates/fixes.
