Nvraid, Error 11 After Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home. Now I get random BSODs related to nvraid, error 11. I Googled error 11 and it suggest it may be caused from an outdated chipset driver. My PC is from 2007 so there are no current chipset drivers available. I am using the last available nForce 750i SLI chipset driver for my ASUS P5N-D motherboard from Nvidia. Any other ideas on how to fix this issue?

    :)

dxgkrnl.sys as cause of recurring crashes

nForce motherboard drivers seem to lack good support for latest versions of Windows 10 so the issue may not be totally fixable.

One error that is reported in the Event Logs is the following from "Source" "nvraid":

The description for Event ID 11 from source nvraid cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

That seems to be the same error as in the following link with other Dell XPS 630i users experiencing similar issues including graphic card issues:

Error EventID 11 Source NVRaid IN A Non-RAID DELL XPS 630i Computer

You appear to have a non-RAID setup.

  4. Nvraid, Error 11 After Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home

I am having a lot of driver issues after upgrading from windows 8.1 to windows 10 as well. I've gotten the same BSOD from the Nvraid driver among other random rebooting issues. I am using the last available nForce 750i SLI chipset driver. I didn't have any of these issues in Win8.1. I am on an EVGA nForce 750i SLI motherboard as well.

  5. I have the same mobo as you do I believe. I get error 11 with nvraid from looking at the Event Manager. I also did some more poking around and it looks like the issue is indeed an outdated driver. NVIDIA has moved the nForce series drivers into 'Legacy' and have not been updated since 2011. I believe that there is a Microsoft-signed driver that may update over it, the date is 9/2013 or something from that year. That would lead me to believe that 8 wouldnt have had this issue, but I can only guess at that.

Since my machine was designed by Dell for a Vista system, I would go ahead and say we are out of luck with this, and the drivers are too far out of date to properly support Windows 10. I have gone into the Device Manager and attempted to update every piece of hardware individually, which helped some but I still see random restarts and robotic audio. I am going to rollback to 7 and build a new machine. It was time anyway.
