    Obtaining product key from my destroyed computer


    I had a house fire and my dell all in one pc, which came with windows 7, i had some issues to fix when my hardrive failed, so i had purchased windows 7 pro for it and during the free upgrade period had been able to upgrade to windows 10 pro. I had my computer added here on my microsoft account and can still see it listed for updates, to remove it, but nothing I see says unregister. The pc is absolutely toasted. Is it possible for me to get some sort of product key or a digital key to be able to use windows 10 on another computer short of having to go purchase another copy. It was a retail copy of windows 7 pro i had gotten before and upgraded. My understanding is that the retail copies can be moved from computer to computer, just cant be used a the a time obviously, and the the oem versions,like what came on my dell upgraded or not will not be able to be loaded to another computer. Maybe I’m wrong? The issue is the computer cannot be used to unregister windows 10 for use on another computer. Is there somewhere I can look, someone i can contact, or some way at all that i can get my key to use windows 10 on another computer? Dont have the money to spend on buying another copy right now so anything I can do to be able to still use it would be helpful.

    My Product Key


    I have hit another roadblock in my marathon two-day attempt to restore the laptop that Windows 10 destroyed. I do not have the product key for the device, so cannot even revert to Windows 8.1. The product key is not shown in the Amazon purchase listing for the device, and I long ago lost the paperwork. Is there any way I can look it up (keeping in mind of course that the device itself is utterly unusable in its current state)?
