Windows 10: Occasionally, all windows freeze

There's no specific cause identified. It was just happened randomly and happened three times this day, two times yesterday.Charateristics of the bug:-All windows freeze, such that any input e.g. clicking on GUI, etc. has no respond.-Taskbar funtionality works perfectly OK, except changing window by clicking icons in taskbar is not okay. However, I still could change to another window by alt+tab or win+tab, though all of them are frozen.-Ctrl+Alt+Del works, task manager could be called out. But it couldn't end frozen task. Once I clicked at "end task" the task manager also freeze.-Cannot shat

New computer occasionally freezes, then releases

Hi,

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to assist you with the issue of computer freezes occasionally. Please follow the below to fix the issue.

Fix #1:

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type CMD

Step 2:

Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator

Step 3:

Type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic and press enter.

Step 4:

Restart PC

Let me know the status after performing the above.

Occasional BSOD / freeze

Occasional PC freeze

Sadly I continue to have the same intermittent problem.

After a spate of further freezes, always soon after morning boot up, last Friday I changed the CMOS battery (needed to remove and replace the graphics card to access the battery). The BIOS reload the last parameter set after the change.

For a few days no problems.

Then yesterday a couple of freezes. After 2 or 3 reboots it was fine for the rest of the day.

This morning:
Boot up - freeze after 10-15 minutes.
Reboot - freeze during BIOS after detecting memory before the list of detected drives.
Reboot - freeze after "loading operating system" message
Reboot - still OK after a couple of hours.

Past experience suggests it will be OK for the rest of the day.

I've run memtest86, OK; Speccy, Crystal Disk Info & Hard Disk Sentinel all report drives OK.

Any thoughts?
